Airport Shuttle FAQ

What is the Airport Shuttle?

Our Airport Shuttle Services The Villages® Community 15 times a day. We pick up and drop off at Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood with service to/from The Orlando International Airport. Our service is DIRECT. NO stops between the Airport and The Village’s Town Squares (Lake Sumter/Brownwood Hotel & Spa). 

If you need home drop off/ pick up service, it is available for an additional cost; a flat rate of $15 per household. (within The Villages® Community only).  You may park your car at the Brownwood Hotel & Spa. 

We are your local Airport Shuttle, always nearby when you need a ride! No extra stops when you ride with Workman!

Who can use the Airport Shuttle?

Anyone and everyone! Our Airport Shuttle service is NOT limited to residents of The Villages. If you are a resident and have family that visits, we recommend you book all reservations under one account name so you can take advantage of our frequent rider program.

Airport Shuttle Hours

The Airport Shuttle operates every day except Christmas Day.

Thanksgiving Day: The last shuttle going to the airport is 3:30 pm from Lake Sumter Landing and 3:45 pm from Brownwood. The last shuttle picking up at the Airport is 5:30 pm on Terminal B and 5:45 pm on Terminal A.

Christmas Eve, December 24: The last shuttle going to the airport is 1:30 pm from Lake Sumter Landing and 1:45 pm from Brownwood. The last shuttle picking up at the Airport is 3:30 pm on Terminal B and 3:45 pm on Terminal A.

Christmas Day: All operations are closed. 

New Years Eve: The last shuttle going to the airport is 3:30 pm from Lake Sumter Landing and 3:45 pm from Brownwood. The last shuttle picking up at the Airport is 5:30 pm on Terminal B and 5:45 pm on Terminal A.

What is the cost of the Airport Shuttle?

The cost is $35 per person, one way. 

Children 2- 12 are $20. Children under 2 sitting on a lap are free. 

What if I miss my shuttle at the Airport? What if my flight is delayed?

If you know you are going to be delayed, please give us a courtesy phone call. 352-259-9398. We try our very best to accommodate all delayed customers on a later shuttle time at no extra cost.

How do I change or cancel my reservation? Will I get a refund?

You can easily manage your own reservation through the link provided on your email confirmation or through the “Manage Reservations” link on our website. You may also call our office. Cancellations with 24 hours’ notice from scheduled shuttle time are eligible to receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled shuttle time are subject to a $10 cancellation fee per reservation OR an in-house credit for the full amount. (in-house credits never expire and are transferrable).  You must call if you are cancelling and choosing to receive an in-house credit. Please allow 7- 14 business days for refund processing.
Please note our no-show policy: If you do not call, and do not show up for any shuttle on the day you are scheduled, no refund or in-house credit will be issued.

Do you provide car seats?

Workman Transportation does not provide car seats. You may bring your own personal car seat or if you are in need of a car seat, we recommend Baby Bundles (352)-406-4754. Baby Bundles is able to bring the car seats to us, so they are ready for you on your scheduled shuttle.

Florida law states the car seat requirements are exempt from our vehicles/service. It is the parent’s responsibility to comply with the car seat requirements for their children’s safety.

Is there a limit to how many bags I can bring?
If you are traveling with more than 2 large bags per person, we will need advance notice. Excessive bags may be subject to an extra fee.
Is a gratuity for my driver included?

Driver tip is not included in the $35 fare. Driver gratuity is up to your discretion. You may add gratuity at the time of booking if you wish to do so. 

What is the frequent rider program?

Our Frequent Rider program is to reward our customers for their loyalty using our service. Simply register on-line to become part of our frequent rider program. Whether you are booking for yourself,  your friends or family, make all reservations under your account.  Once you book/purchase 10 shuttle trips, you will receive the the 11th one free. One ride= 1 person, 1 way. You may use your free ride whenever and for whomever you would like.

Can I park my car and leave it at The Villages® Shuttle Depots?

The parking lots surrounding the town squares are owned and operated by The Villages®. These parking lots are meant for short-term use. Workman Transportation assumes no responsibility for cars left by customers taking the shuttle.

Reservation Office Hours

Our current office hours are: Monday- Friday: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Our reservations office is closed in observance of the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. We are open for limited hours on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. After -hours dispatch available for emergency or last minute reservations.

Do you provide private charter or group transportation options?
Workman Transportation provides private bus charters for any size group. Our fleet consists of luxury sedans, and SUVS, mini-buses (14-33 passenger buses), mid-coaches (36-38 passenger buses) and full motor-coaches (56 passengers). We also have caravans and vans. (5-10 passengers)
All buses are 2018 or newer. Motor-coaches are equipped with seatbelts, a restroom, WIFI, USB port charging at each seat, as well as DVD players and televisions throughout.

Is a deposit required to book a charter?

A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking as well as a signed contract. Deposit is refundable up until 48 hours prior to scheduled departure unless otherwise noted on your contract. Please refer to your contract for financial obligations/penalties.

I left something on a vehicle, what should I do?
Workman Transportation is not responsible for lost items, however if you leave something behind, please call our office for inquiry and we will do our best to return it to you. Items are kept in lost & found for a limited amount of time so please call as soon as you notice the item is lost. 352-259-9398.
